Group Blog: And-1!

The next thing I had to do was pick a group once I had been informed about our final project. I have chosen to work with Aidan Jones and Victoria Newell because we have worked together for the entire year and have developed a shared knowledge of one another's thought processes. I didn't see a need to leave our group because we all get along well and we operate well as a unit. To deal alleviate some of the issues we have faced in the past, we have however acquired Randy Sweeting as a new groupmate. One benefit is that it would bring on another person to assist distribute the work and balance the workload during the recording process. That issue arose frequently when we recorded our most recent production since we were unable to create the exact scenes we had in mind owing to a manpower shortage. Another benefit is that it would make writing introductory posts about research a little bit simpler. Any kind of idea we come up with could be adequately implemented with the addition of another head. The creative insight Randy brings to our team is another advantage. Randy has a more creative personality, so when he joined our organization, additional opportunities and ideas were opened up for everyone. We have not yet given the new member a true role, but it is likely that they will take on the same responsibilities as in the previous project. The movie's actors will be Aidan and me. Since Randy is brand-new, it could be preferable for him to film, possibly with an additional actor. Vic will play the final part and be in charge of editing and directing. Since we all immersed ourselves in every aspect of filmmaking for the previous production, we would appreciate dividing the labor equally amongst ourselves. Randy's integration into our group went much more smoothly than I had anticipated. Even though he tends to be quiet and shy, he seemed to be at ease around us and was able to fit right in. We then started talking about some potential project ideas as we listened to the teacher's opening instructions. As I had anticipated, Randy made significant contributions from a more creative perspective, which gave each of us greater room to develop. I'm content with the new group we've established and I'm excited about the outcome.
